Literacy
To revise work on verbs, investigating tense (past, present and future) in sentences.
Select powerful verbs and adjectives when editing own stories.
Plan a story by mapping out its main stages. Focus on 'gripping' story openings and character development for Historical Stories.
(Persuasive letter writing.) Instrumental Writing.
Investigate spelling patterns and selected 'topic' vocabulary through weekly spelling lists. (Focus on homophones, suffixes and double consonants.)

Read and write whole numbers to at least 10000 in figures and words and know what each digit represents.
